Health, Safety, and Environment ("HSE")

 

The Canadoil Group Commitment to Safety and our HSE Policy

With a strong commitment to creating a safe & secure working environment for each and every member of our family of companies, the Canadoil Group strives to achieve the highest quality in all areas.

The Canadoil Group is constantly working to improve its safety performance. By continuously upgrading the physical conditions of our workplaces by investment in new technologies, infrastructure and maintenance-valued improvement progress is clearly seen.

The Canadoil Group strives to ensure that we improve the attitudes and behavior relative to safety of each and every member of our most precious resources, our people. Innovative incentive programs that reward safe behavior are reviewed and monitored.

Each of our plants hold regular safety meetings with managers and safety staff to discuss accidents and share ideas for improving safety. Daily tool box meetings with workers help ensure that the importance of safety in all our work places is clearly driven home.

Air

  • Emissions generated by manufacturing processes comply with Amata City Industrial Estate (ACIE) and Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) license operating requirements
  • Emissions include CO2 from 12 natural gas furnaces for which total impact assessed in CPIPE’s / CPL EIA reports were deemed insignificant
  • Monitoring is conducted by a Thai government authorized agency and results are reported directly to the Thai government

Waste

  • All hazardous and solid waste permits are valid
  • All waste removal contractors are licensed/ registered by the Thai government. Transportation routes and sites for disposal are all approved by the same

Waste and
Storm Water

  • Waste water is collected in septic tanks located throughout the factory and in closed systems for certain equipment
  • Storm water travels through the factory and is released into the ACIE waste water treatment system
  • ACIE’s IEAT licensing requirements ensure our company is in compliance with Thai law
  • Monitoring is conducted by a Thai government authorized agency and results are reported directly to the Thai government

Subsurface
and
Groundwater

  • All subsurface / ground water, and soil monitoring is mandatory only when a EIA report is required
  • ACIE’s IEAT licensing requirements ensure our company is in compliance with Thai law
  • There have been two EIA reports conducted in the past three years (June 2004 and June 2009)
  • Canadoil HSE Department ensures compliance reports are submitted to Thai Government authorities IAW Thai law
